Last updated: October 18, 2026
Brave Generation prohibits harassment and unlawful discrimination in our programs, workplaces, and community spaces. Everyone deserves a respectful environment to learn, mentor, and serve.
Purpose
This policy reinforces our Code of Conduct and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion statement with clearer definitions and reporting paths.
Scope
Applies to staff, board members, mentors, volunteers, participants, contractors, and partners in Brave Generation activities—online or in person—including events hosted with partners.
What counts as harassment or discrimination?
- Unwelcome conduct based on protected characteristics under applicable law
- Sexual harassment, including unwanted sexual attention or advances
- Bullying, threats, humiliation, or hostile treatment
- Slurs, demeaning “jokes,” or repeated exclusion intended to harm
- Retaliation for reporting or participating in an investigation
Youth safeguarding concerns (including abuse or exploitation) should also follow Safeguarding procedures immediately.
How we respond
We take good-faith reports seriously. Responses may include interim safety measures, investigation, mediation where appropriate, mentor/participant reassignment, or removal from programs or roles. Privacy limits how much we can share about outcomes.
