Complaints & Whistleblower Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Brave Generation Inc. encourages good-faith reporting of concerns about our organization, programs, finances, or conduct. Speaking up helps us protect people and steward donor trust.
Why this channel exists
As a U.S. 501(c)(3) charity, we are accountable to participants, donors, partners, and the public. This policy explains how to raise a complaint or whistleblower concern without fear of retaliation for honest reporting.
What kinds of issues can you report?
- Suspected misuse of funds or financial irregularity
- Harassment, discrimination, or safeguarding concerns
- Conflicts of interest that were not properly disclosed
- Fraud, bribery, or illegal activity
- Serious breaches of our policies or donor restrictions
For youth safety concerns, see Safeguarding.
How do you submit a report?
Email [email protected] with “Complaint” or “Whistleblower” in the subject line. Include:
- A clear description of the concern
- Dates, locations, and people involved (if known)
- Any documents or links that support the report
- Whether you want a follow-up response and how to reach you
Anonymous reports are harder to investigate, but you may omit your name if you believe identification would create a risk. Provide as much detail as you can.
What happens after you report?
- We acknowledge receipt when contact details are provided
- We assess the concern and determine next steps
- We may ask clarifying questions or involve board oversight when appropriate
- We take corrective action when warranted and permitted by law
We cannot always share full investigation details because of privacy, legal, or personnel constraints.
Non-retaliation
Brave Generation prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith or participates in an investigation. Deliberately false reports made in bad faith may result in appropriate action.
