Born and raised in Kharkiv, I graduated from Kharkiv Physics and Maths Lyceum #27. During my time in school, I participated in various STEM competitions, including State (Oblast’) Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Programming, and Astronomy Olympiads and National Physics Tournaments. My passion for science led me to Haverford College, PA. There, I pursue a double major in psychology and computer science and work in the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab, researching mind-wandering, anxiety, and the effects of adverse childhood experiences on executive functioning. I also interned at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine for the past two summers, utilizing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to research the neurobiological basis of anorexia nervosa.
