Media & Photo Consent
Last updated: October 18, 2026
Brave Generation sometimes photographs, records, or shares stories about programs and participants. We do this to explain our mission—never to exploit people. This page describes how consent and media use work.
Purpose
Youth dignity and safety come first. Media practices follow our Safeguarding and Privacy Policy standards.
What media may include
- Photos and video from events, workshops, or program activities
- Written quotes, testimonials, or impact stories
- Audio recordings from interviews or panels
- Names, program affiliations, or other details you agree to share
Consent
Where required, we ask for consent before featuring identifiable participants in public communications. For minors or where legal guardianship applies, we seek appropriate guardian/parent consent according to the program context and applicable law.
Consent should be informed: people should understand roughly where content may appear (for example website, social media, reports, or press).
How we may use consented media
- bravegeneration.org and official social channels
- Donor reports, grant applications, and impact materials
- Press and partner storytelling when appropriate
- Presentations about our programs
Can consent be withdrawn?
You may contact us to withdraw consent for future use. We will take reasonable steps to stop new uses. Content already printed, published, or cached by third parties may not be fully removable.
Partners and press
Partners and journalists should not publish identifiable participant media from Brave Generation activities without appropriate consent. See also Partnership & Collaboration.
