Gift Acceptance Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
Brave Generation Inc. gratefully accepts gifts that advance mentorship, education, and mental health support for Ukrainian youth. This policy explains which gifts we accept and when we may decline. Online card donations are also covered by our Donor & Refund Policy.
Purpose
As a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 93-1717971), we accept gifts that further our mission and can be administered responsibly—without undue risk, cost, or conflict with charity rules.
Types of gifts we may accept
- Unrestricted cash gifts and online donations via Stripe
- Restricted gifts for approved program purposes, when terms are clear and workable
- In-kind goods or services that we can use effectively
- Grants from foundations or institutional funders under written agreements
- Other gifts (for example securities) after case-by-case review
When we may decline a gift
- The gift would compromise our independence, mission, or reputation
- Restrictions are illegal, discriminatory, or administratively unworkable
- The gift creates unacceptable liability, cost, or conflict of interest
- Ownership/title is unclear, or the gift appears connected to unlawful activity
Potential conflicts are reviewed under our Conflict of Interest Policy.
Donor restrictions
We honor reasonable written restrictions that align with approved programs. If a restriction becomes impossible or illegal, we will contact the donor when practicable to discuss alternatives.
Receipts and tax matters
We provide acknowledgments for deductible gifts as required. Valuation of non-cash gifts is generally the donor’s responsibility. We do not provide personal tax advice—see Donor & Refund Policy.
